It was an early morning and Emma woke by the sound of her alarm, she stopped it. Usually she didn't wake up this early because she was home schooled, but she had just got a pony for her birthday last year, and she loved adventures especially with horses. So she got up very early every morning now to ride Jackie her horse. Jackie is black with a black mane and has a white heart on her forehead. Emma got out of bed, got her riding clothes on and sneakers and slipped outside. When Jackie spotted Emma she ran over to the side of the fence, "Sorry," giggled Emma,"No carrots today. We ran out, but dad is going to run to the store and buy some food for you." Jackie whinnied loud. Emma opened the paddock door, climbed on Jackie, whistled and Jackie took off with a gallop. Emma and Jackie took a path that Jackie made and they call it the Friendship path because Jackie and Emma get some alone time together. It's the longest path they know. It takes one hour and a half all the way there and back. The air was crisp. The two enjoyed the time together. When they got back mom and dad where awake. Dad had gone to get some food for Jackie, while mom made food for them. Mom made waffles and bacon, yum! By the time mom and Emma where done eating dad was pulling in the driveway. When dad was in the front doorway Emma took the bucket from her dads hand and ran to the backyard. After she fed Jackie she put her in her stable and went inside. In the kitchen there was a loud conversation going on. "Hello?", said Emma. A tall man stood in front of her, he looked familiar."Do you remember me?", asked the man, and oh did Emma ever. He was the one who said they could rent the house and made a big fuss about it. "Yes", replied Emma. "Well I'm going to kick you out. You have the rest of today and tomorrow to pack up", said the man. "And", added dad," We won't have enough room for Jackie so you will have to sell her." The next morning Emma wrote a note, it read:
Dear mom and dad, I'm not going to sell Jackie so I'm running away with her. Love, Emma! XOXOXOXOXO. Then she left. Emma and Jackie lived happily ever after.
